 Abstract

The relevance of the study is due to the disproportionality of women's participation in the political process and, as a result, limited access to political influence and power. This suggests a weak articulation of women's interests in various spheres of socio-political and economic activity. The object of the study is the current composition of the representative bodies of the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District at the regional and municipal levels. The subject of the study is the women's deputy corps of the NCFD subjects. The purpose of the study: to review and compare the composition of the women's deputy corps of the NCFD subjects at the regional and municipal levels. It is noted that there is a significant gender imbalance and a gender pyramid in the NCFD representation bodies. The structure of the models of representation at the regional and local levels differs in quantitative indicators, while the socio-demographic and socio-political characteristics are identical.
